If you’re a hardcore fan like I am, you will either love it or hate it. If you hate it, then you’re not as hardcore as you think. The simple fact that they brought back five original characters on the autobots side and had a lot of great quotes from the original movie from 1985, I have to say to everyone who claims to be a fan but is giving bad reviews: go play with you’re star trek toys and shut up.
Yes, I will agree they had a few things wrong with it. Like there was no Matrix, they killed off a character that shouldn’t have been killed, and the love story that was mixed in was a little much. Plus the movie was a little too fast in the end and slow in the beginning, but you can only spend so much time and money on a project that seemed to be a 50/50 chance without flaws. But to all you idiots that think it was too much or too little, think of it this way. This movie wasn’t just for the old school fans (you selfish geeks), it was for the new generation of transformer fans.
While I was in the movie theater I watched as teenagers and younger kids laughed at the jokes, and were in awe in the crazy transformations. I loved the vibe that came from those kids, because that is what is keeping Transformers alive.
All I can say is for the new generation it was an awesome movie. Great graphics, kept up with the storyline pretty damn well, really funny, the romantic part (as cheesy as it was) mixed well with the story itself, original characters, and quotes from the very first movie from 1985. (I suggest to watch that too) If you haven’t seen it, take you’re girlfriend/ boyfriend and have a few good laughs.
Rating 4.5/5 stars
